Don Cantrell, director of Internal Technology at the South Carolina Department of Education, spoke on this hot topic as the guest speaker during the first PTO meeting of the 2009-2010 school year on Sept. 24 at Johnakin Middle School.
Cantrell’s seminar focused on helping parents and other adults understand the benefits, as well as the dangers of cyber-communities and social networking for teens.
The seminar gave parents and students a deeper understanding regarding dangers and risks associated.
