A public memorial will be held for people to pay their respects to three eastern Carolinians who died in a helicopter crash Friday night.
According to JoJo Turbeville, flight paramedic and regional outreach coordinator with Omniflight said the memorial for pilot Patrick Walters, paramedic Randolph “Claxton” Dove, and flight nurse Diana Conner will be held Sunday at 2pm at Brooks Stadium on the campus of Coastal Carolina University.
Walters, Dove, and Conner were killed when the Omniflight medical helicopter they were flying in crashed, about one mile outside the Georgetown County Airport. The crew was heading back to its base in Conway after dropping off a patient at MUSC in Charleston.
