The City of Myrtle Beach hosted a picnic for its employees Wednesday afternoon. The post-season “Thank You Picnic” was held at BB&T Coastal Field.
City officials said the regular picnics are just a small way to express appreciation to city staff members for their extra hard work during the busy summer season.
Dozens of city employees, including police officers, firefighters, sanitation workers, and council members and some candidates running for office, dropped by the stadium during their lunch break to enjoy barbecue, desserts, and beverages.
Members of the media were also invited to the picnic.
