COLUMBIA – A Bennettsville grocery store sold a Fantastic 5’s instant ticket worth $155,555.

According to a release from the South Carolina Education Lottery, BK’s Grocery sold the ticket to a Bennettsville player who asked lottery officials not to publicize his name.

BK’s Grocery, located at 500 State Street, received a $1,555.55 check.

Fantastic 5’s is a $10 instant ticket with two top prizes still left in the game. More than $5.6 million in total prizes are remaining.

Since the Lottery’s inception in 2002, the General Assembly has appropriated more than $2.2 billion for educational purposes through fiscal year 2010.

Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
