Marion Intermediate School students treat grandparents to lunch

National Grandparents Day will be celebrated across the nation on Sunday, Sept. 13.
In honor of this special day, Marion Intermediate School hosted its annual “Grandparents Luncheon” for the grandparents of MIS students in a show of appreciation for the support they provide to their grandchildren attending the school. Grandparents joined students in the cafeteria on Sept. 1-3 for a special lunch prepared by the school’s food service personnel.
“It was so impressive to see the great participation by our grandparents. Over 300 grandparents came to enjoy eating lunch with their grandchildren, and we are proud to honor them.” Principal Tim Felder said.
