BENNETTSVILLE – A Marlboro County man charged with hitting his father and then setting him on fire pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter Wednesday morning, according to an official with the 4th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Daniel Mishoe was sentenced to 25 years in prison on the manslaughter plea, 25 years on an arson plea and five years on a larceny plea, according to the official. The charges are to run concurrently, the official said.

Bennettsville firefighters found Larry Mishoe's body when they responded to a fire at the used furniture store he owned in June 2007.
