A Lake City man has been arrested in connection with several burglaries that occurred in Lake City.
Willie Lopez McDowell, 23, of 217 Pine St. is charged with one count of first-degree burglary and three counts of second-degree burglary, Lake City Police Chief Billy Brown said.
Brown said the burglaries happened at locations on East Main, Acline, Smith and Blanding Streets from June 27 through Sept. 2.
Brown said said several thousand dollars’ worth of merchandise was stolen and that some of the items were recovered. He said the case is still an ongoing investigation and that more arrests will be made in connection with the burglaries.
