The Francis Marion University Office of Career Development will host its 19th annual volunteer fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 16 in the Smith University Center commons area.
Representatives from area volunteer organizations who are in need of volunteers will set up booths and recruit students to become active in the community. Members of the public who are interested in volunteering are also invited to attend.
Among those scheduled to participate are Alston Wilkes Society, American Red Cross, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Florence County Disabilities & Special Needs, Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity, McLeod Hospice, Mercy Medicine, The Naomi Project, 12th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, Pee Dee Mental Health Center, The Salvation Army, SouthernCare and Winyah Healthcare Group.
