CONWAY -- Artists in Conway showed off their artwork and skills at Create Conway Day. Hundreds of people came out to see pieces made by local artists and listen to music played by local musicians.
There were also demonstrations on how to make beads by blowing glass, pottery making, and wine tasting.
The event featured a new "Eye on Conway" art exhibit at Pop's Glass Shop.
Barbara Streeter helped organize the event and she says it helps local artists gain exposure and show off their work to people in the community.
“You know, we want a place for them to be able to show their work and get involved in the community and also the glass blowing, you know we want people to come out and see the glass blowing. We do free glass blowing demonstrations here at pop's every Saturday, so it gives people the opportunity to see something they do not get a chance to see anywhere else,” said Streeter.
The next Create Conway event promoting local artists is scheduled for Oct. 3.
