The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on Cates Bay Hwy and Dongola Drive, just outside of Conway.
L/Cpl Sonny Collins said Cates Bay Rd was completely closed down Wednesday morning after two cars collided.
Collins said one of the vehicles crossed the centerline and crashed into an on-coming car.
One person was airlifted with injuries and another was taken to Conway Regional Medical Center.
