A Dillon County corrections officer has been charged with misconduct in office, according to Capt. Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said Richard Thomas Williamson was accepting money to take contraband to the inmates.
He has been fired from his position as a corrections officer.
