Three charged with strong-arm robbery

Hartsville police arrested three men on charges of strong-arm robbery after another man reported he was robbed while walking along a street.

The incident occurred on Aug. 27 at about 4:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Washington and Sixth streets, according to Hartsville Police Chief Tim Kemp.

The victim told police he was walking along the street when three men jumped him, stole his wallet and fled. No weapon was involved, Kemp said.

Police identified three suspects and arrested them. Ramtavious Antonio Myers, 18, of 205 Marlboro Ave.; Phillip Anton Franklin, 19, of 708 S. Eighth St.; and Ricky Allen Hickman, 18, of 317 Jasper Ave. are each charged with strong-arm robbery, Kemp said.
