Dear Editor,
As Paws to the Rescue / Animal Shelter of Marion County celebrated our first anniversary, please help support us with our “virtual” fundraiser.
Following are some of our accomplishments over the past year.
All animals adopted from the shelter are spayed or neutered, which is directly related to reducing the overpopulation.
Friends and neighbors helped raise over $3000 for the purchase and installation of infrared heaters for the dogs’ runs.
This past spring, a group of college students from Pennsylvania spent a week at the shelter.
They purchased and set up a shed for storage, installed fencing and made many much-needed repairs to the shelter.
Over 650 animals have been adopted or taken in by rescue groups – some being adopted as far away as Charleston, Asheville, N.C Pennsylvania and New York.
We have reached many goals, but your assistance is still needed. Please help us with our fundraiser to bring more success throughout the forthcoming year. Funds are needed for approaching gas bills for our new heaters to keep the animals warm this winter. Also, day-to-day expenses are always accumulating for medications, vaccinations, and emergency vet bill and spay/neuter surgeries.
Paws to the Rescue, is a non-profit organization so your donations are tax deductible! Donations can be dropped off at the shelter at 123 Dog & Cat Court in Mullins or checks mailed to: Paws to the Rescue P.O. Box 146 Marion, SC. 29571.
Thank you for your support of the shelter animals!
Sincerely
Jennifer S. Nall
Executive Director
