A Georgetown County man died Monday night after crashing his pickup truck into another vehicle outside Andrews.

According to L/Cpl Bob Beres of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 7:30 p.m. when a 71 year old Andrews man traveling south on Hwy 41, about 2 1/2 miles from Andrews, crossed over into the wrong lane and turned in front of another vehicle.

Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson indentified the driver of the truck as Virgil Mixon.

The driver and her two children in the other vehicle did not suffer any injuries from the crash.
