Members of the University of North Carolina School of Arts, Open Dream Ensemble provided free performances for students at Marion Intermediate and Johnakin Middle School during special assemblies last Thursday.
The mission of Open Dream Ensemble is to electrify the senses, invigorate the imaginations, and expand the minds of young people through the power of the performing arts.
Dramatic performances of “The Dream Machines” and “Peril on the Red Planet” were performed for students.
Both presentations were designed to reinforce curriculum standards, focusing on the impact of transportation on society, as well as the importance of teamwork, empathy, responsibility, courage and sacrifice.
