Music, food, and fun for the kids. It felt like a carnival as hundreds of people came out to raise money for the make a wish foundation.
The 4th annual Linsdey's Little Miracle Run was held at Market Commons.
Through donations and raffles, organizers say thousands of dollars were raised for the Make a Wish Foundation.
The event was started by the parents of Lindsey Grubbs, a girl who overcame cancer as an infant.
Linsdey's mom Quaker says her daughter is four-years-old and cancer free, so the family is now trying to help other children fight cancer.
“It comes at a point in their lives and in the lives of their families when they really are just living on hope and to be able to give them something good during that time and to be able to build them up and give them some encouragement and a special time to spend together it does amazing things for healing and recovery and helps families deal with the tragedy their going through,” said Quaker Grubbs.
Mrs. Grubbs says she is already looking ahead to next year's event.
