EFFINGHAM – The weather cooperated and crowds responded en masse at the annual Fall Frenzy at Lynches River County Park Saturday.
From snakes and bees to kayaks and canoes there was a little bit of something for everyone at the park.
A central stage highlighted performances by area school groups and county maintenance teams set up at the ball field with some of their heavy equipment.
People could take canoe tours if the river, pet the animals at the petting zoo or take a guided walk along the park’s elevated board walk along Lynches River.
The frenzy is an annual event at the park, which offers several marked hiking trails, an environmental discovery center, community building, splash pad, cabins, a canoe/kayak put in and an outdoor education station.
