CONWAY — A Community luncheon/forum will be held Thursday for a candidates running for Myrtle Beach Mayor, City Council, and Conway City Council.
According to a press release, the Horry County Chapter of The South Carolina Voter Education Project (SCVEP) will hold a Community Luncheon/Forum from Noon to 1:30 PM at the Horry County Memorial Library, 801 Main Street , Conway , SC.
The SCVEP was created in 1965 for the purpose of aiding in the implementation of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. The SCVEP is headed by community activist and organizer Abdullah Mustafa and holds its forum/luncheons on the fourth Thursday of every month at the Conway Library.
The initiative invites a wide variety of politicians, organizers, scholars, and activists to speak on political, educational, and economic issues influencing the local communities.
This forum is open to the public and free of charge.
