Horry County police are searching for a suspect they believe has robbed multiple businesses in Horry County.

They believe Joshua Lee Causey, 27, is responsible for the string of armed robberies. The most recent one happened Tuesday at the Country Inn and Suites in the Myrtle Beach area.

Police say Causey went into the hotel on Waccamaw Boulevard at around 12:30 p.m., showed a handgun and demanded money.

He is described as about 6'0" and 160 pounds. Police say Causey has been seen in a green Ford Explorer and a silver Honda.

Detectives believe he is linked to approximately six robberies that have happened at other hotels and stores in Horry County.

They were able to obtain a surveillance camera photo from a previous robbery in Horry County to identify the suspect.

Police have an arrest warrant out for him and warn that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on where he may be, or on these robberies, is asked to call Horry County police at 915-5350 or leave an anonymous tip by calling 915-TIPS (8477).
