On Oct. 4, I read a rebuttal of my statements about honoring our president who tries his best to help our country and how he was disrespected by rude politicians and people who do not like him because of the color of his skin. Evidently I offended Mr. James E. Smith of Florence. Why did he get offended? Racism is alive and well whether he believes it or not. A mess of this country was made before Obama took office. You go on to say that he hosts parties for gays and lesbians. Regardless of a person’s race or lifestyle that they choose have a right to be represented by the government. Whether you or I agree with it or not. You mention Islam and Christianity. You don’t believe that Obama is a Christian. Well that is your opinion. Every person has to see God for himself. Why are you offended Mr. Smith? You say you are a Christian and not racist and are entitled to your views. I am entitled to my views as well. Women make the choice to abort their children. It is an individual choice and they have to see God for themselves. And as for concerning my faith as a Christian or a preacher I don’t have to prove anything to you or anyone else because I know who I am in God. Maybe you have some convictions about your own life.
