Annual 'Walk for the Animals' scheduled at Broadway at the Beach

The 2009 'Walk For The Animals' is scheduled for Oct. 17 at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach.

The Grand Strand Humane Society is hosting the benefit walk at 11 a.m. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.

It costs $2 to walk in the event, but it is free for spectators. The entrance fee for a contest is $25. Pets are encouraged to come dressed up in their favorite costumes. There will be a number of vendors, lots of food, music, and games for both people and pets to enjoy.

Some of the sponsors include: Scott B. Umstead, P.A.; McNair Law Firm; P.A.W.S.; and Broadway at the Beach.
