Why is it that some people criticize Congressman Joe Wilson for speaking out and telling the president, “You lie,” but they don’t criticize the president for his dishonesty? There were about 535 members of Congress in that room, but only one called his hand on what he said. Is breaking decorum a greater offense than lying to Congress and the entire world?
In my opinion, the only thing Joe Wilson should apologize for is apologizing. Keep in mind that he ask for forgiveness for where he said it, not for what he said. If he had not said, you lie, many people would assume that he was telling the truth about illegals not having access to health care under his proposed plan. Either the other 434 members of Congress were to sheepish to say anything or they still had not gotten around to reading that 1100 page bill. Whatever bill they pass the president, Congress and all government employees should be under the same plan along with us mere mortals.
