One person is dead following an accident on Highway 548 near Juniper Bay Road in Horry County.
Troopers say around 9 Monday night, a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian. According to troopers, the victim wore dark clothing and walked in the middle of the highway. No word of any charges against the driver of the vehicle that hit the victim.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
