Man's identity released in weekend drowning

The Horry County coroner's office says Ronald Tyler drowned Saturday afternoon after an incident at Springmaid Pier in Myrtle Beach.

Deputy coroner Chris Burroughs says Tyler, 53, was from Myrtle Beach.

Burroughs says the man died at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center after being pulled from the ocean near the pier.
