The Horry County coroner's office says 22-year-old Kencory Vereen died after a car crash Saturday afternoon.
Deputy coroner Chris Burroughs says Vereen died at the scene.
South Carolina Highway patrol Cpl. Paul Brouthers says the crash happened at 5:10 p.m. on S.C. Highway 905, twelve miles south of Loris.
Cpl. Brouthers says Vereen, who was from Myrtle Beach, was heading North on 905 when the right rear tire separated and he lost control of the car.
Brouthers says the car hit a ditch, a tree, and then caught on fire.
Brouthers says Vereen was not wearing a seatbelt.
