LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Clyburn shows he's listening in recent health care vote

As an American and South Carolinian, I would like to thank those representatives who voted for the Affordable Health Care for America Act. I am sure that each representative is under a tremendous amount of pressure at the hands of the insurance industry lobbyists and other constituents. And I am very proud that Rep. James Clyburn voted for the good of the people. For our voice for change and reform to a broken health care needs to be heard and he has shown that he is listening.
It gives me some relief to know that the vote for this bill will help secure stable coverage for all Americans who already have insurance as well as expanding coverage for those who cannot afford insurance. I think this a step in the right direction. And I am thankful that Rep. James Clyburn was and is a part of this change for the good of Americans.
