The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a single car accident that killed a 79 year old Loris woman Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. on Highway 19 near Highway 410, according to Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins.
A 2002 Buick traveling on Highway 19 ran off the right hand side of the road into a ditch then struck a tree.
Dep. Coroner Tony Hendricks identifies the victim as 79 year old Emma Burton of Loris.
Burton was not wearing a seat belt.
