Marion County Combined Drug Unit investigators arrested two Marion County men Monday on drug charges after a four-month investigation.
Cody Sudd Altman, 19, of Mullins is charged with three counts of distribution of marijuana, a count of distribution of cocaine and a count of conspiracy to distribute marijuana, Marion County Sheriff Mark Richardson said in a press release issued Wednesday. Altman has been released from the Marion County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. If convicted of all charges, he faces up to 32 years in prison.
Lester Wade “Rocky” Skipper, 27, of Nichols is charged with a count of distribution of marijuana and a count of conspiracy to distribute marijuana. He has been released from the jail on a$10,000 bond and faces seven years in prison if convicted of the charges, Richardson said.
The sheriff said he urges Marion County residents to take a stand against illegal drugs and report any suspicious drug activity to the Marion County Combined Drug Unit at (843) 423-2056 or the state Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
