St. Anthony Catholic Church Turkey Drive

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Each year, St. Anthony Catholic Church holds a Turkey Drive to help those in need of a Thanksgiving dinner. Members of the church contributed by donating all types of canned goods, desserts, boxed stuffing, potatoes, pies and turkeys. Monetary donations also were accepted. “This year we are planning to feed approximately 24 families. In past years, we have helped 50 or more even,” Turkey Drive organizer Maura Rolland said. The food was organized and distributed Tuesday. Some of the recipients weren’t able to come pick up the food,so the church delivered it to them. Each recipient was given enough food to prepare a full course Thanksgiving dinner. “It feels good to be able to help those in need,” Rolland said.
