LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Some compassion during festival about parking would be nice

During the Pecan Festival, my daughter was trying to find a place to park. She parked in the Coit Street Apartment Complex, not realizing that she could and did get towed!

This was a huge lesson for her and a black eye for the Pecan Festival. Can’t really rail against the owner of the apartments. He does have signs saying he does tow.

But come on, a little compassion and understanding when an event like the Pecan Festival is going on wouldn’t hurt. It wasn’t like his complex was full and my daughter had taken someone’s parking space. Several others had their cars towed, as well. Good day for the tow truck.
