LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Reader commends Clyburn's work toward the public

Representative James Clyburn is to be commended for putting the needs of the people before politics and voting in favor of the Affordable Health Care for America Act. I realize there are a lot of pros and cons about health care reform, but it is clear to me that if I am ill, treatment should not be debatable.

I believe Rep. Clyburn, no doubt will take heat for his actions, but I want to extend a hearty thanks for taking a stand to provide secure and stable coverage for Americans with insurance, expand coverage for those who do not have insurance, lower costs for families and businesses, and begin to reduce the deficit. I feel that this is a move in the right direction, and all Americans can benefit from it.
