Wilson celebrates American Education Week

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Wilson High School hosted its fourth annual Drop in to Wilson event on Thursday.

It's part of American Education Week. The event gives teachers a chance to show parents the kind of technology they're using in the classroom. Students also have time to show off their talents.

School officials say it gives them a chance to build relationships with the parents.

"They're coming in to see the things, the way we're (teaching)," said Wilson principal Dr. Gerard Edwards. "It's kind of like an open house at a business, so they're seeing kind of behind the scenes of how we're using the technology in order to make sure we're teaching the standards."
