I am writing this letter because I am very disappointed with the recent elections. I live in City Council District 1 and had not voted in the last two council elections because there was no one running against our current council member. On my side of town many people had not voted because we felt our council member did not represent us. When we had community meetings she did not come and we never saw her until it was time for election.
This time we thought we had a chance to get someone who might be interested in us. Now we find out that maybe the election was not fair. I am also disappointed with the people in my area because they did not come out to vote. There is no need of complaining if you are not going to vote. It is time for everyone to accept the responsibility for what they want. If we want change, we must vote, but the voting must be fair.
