St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church is having its Holy Home Cooking event beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday. For about 15 years, women of the church have been sharing their culinary talents with the community by offering frozen casseroles, soups and stews as well as cakes, pies and other homemade goodies. 70th Anniversary Celebration: 5 p.m. Saturday in the family life center at Kelleytown Baptist Church for Hartsville, First Church of the Nazarene at 1909 W. Bobo Newsom Highway. Celebration includes a Thanksgiving dinner for all present and past members of First Church of the Nazarene; 10:30 a.m. Sunday a Historical Power Point Presentation will be held at Hartsville First Church of the Nazarene.

Advent and Christmas Celebration: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday Prospect United Methodist Church, 740 Prospect Road. It’s an Advent Celebration with Veggie Tales for the entire family. Spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. to raise funds for sanctuary improvements.

Annual UMW Program at Wesley Chapel: 4 p.m. Sunday at Wesley Chapel UMC, 1421 E. Lydia Highway. This year’s event is the “Widows March.”

Revival: 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. weeknights Nov. 29 to Dec. 2 at Hartsville First Church of the Nazarene, 1909 Bobo Newsom Highway. Speaker: Norman Moore. Moore began preaching when he was 11-years-old in Pueblo, Colo. He was ordained in 1973 and organized the Norman Moore Ministries Inc. in 1979.

Hanging of the Greens: 11 a.m. Nov. 29 Prospect United Methodist Church, 740 Prospect Church Road. A special celebration as the congregation prepares the sanctuary and their hearts for the birth of the Christ child.

25th Annual Missions Bazaar: 8 a.m. Dec. 5 at Family Life Building at First Baptist Church. W.C. Morris will be cooking chicken bog to be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $6 and are limited. Info: (843) 332-6571.

Song Service: 11 a.m. Dec. 6 at Spring Branch Baptist Church, 5106 Middendorf Road. Info: (843) 335-6651.

Adult Christmas Cantata: 5 p.m. Dec. 13 at Prospect United Methodist Church, 740 Prospect Church Road.

Dispelling Myths and Finding Hope in the Bible’s Most Difficult Book: 11 a.m. to noon and 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Dec. 15. Pastor Phil Thrailkill of St. Luke United Methodist will teach 16 sessions. The teaching method used will be a scripture sheet laying out the structure of the passage, followed by a lecture on the history, rhetoric and theological insights of the text. Angel Food Ministries: Food boxes are designed to feed a family of four for about $30. There is no application to fill out. To place an order, stop by the Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1410 Bobo Newsom Highway, or call at the appointed times. Order times are 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Saturdays. Info: (843) 332-3391

John Wesley United Methodist Church Food Bank: In need of canned goods and other non-perishable items to help feed the needy in Lee and Darlington counties. Open Prayer: Noon to 2 p.m. Wednesdays at the Wesley United Methodist Church sanctuary, corner of College Avenue and Fourth Street. All are welcome to come in and pray. This is a time of personal prayer; no program is planned. The community is invited to just come and sit or kneel at the altar and open their hearts to God.

Chapel Hill Baptist Church Services: 10 a.m. Sunday school, 11 a.m. Sunday worship, 6 p.m. Sunday evening services and 7 p.m. Wednesday Bible study. All services are at 1569 Ruby Road. The public is invited to join any and all of these services. The Rev. Wayne Cottle is pastor.

Young Professionals Sunday School Class: 9:15 a.m. Sundays at First Baptist Church, 104 E. Home Ave., across from Sonic. Worship service follows at 10:30 a.m. join them to learn about God’s word and will for our lives, for fellowship and fun.

Wesley United Methodist Services: 8:30 a.m. Sunday early morning worship services, 9:30 a.m. Sunday school, 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship service and 6 p.m. UMYF for all area youth at Wesley United Methodist at the corner of College Avenue and Fourth Street. The Rev. Terry Martin is pastor.

Oates Baptist Church Services: 10 a.m. Sunday school, 11 a.m. Sunday worship service, 6 p.m. Sunday night services, 5 p.m. Sunday choir practice and 7 p.m. Wednesday night services at Oates Baptist Church on Highway 403. Info: Pastor Mickey Lloyd (843) 346-3548.
