Soccer Awards Ceremony
All YMCA youth soccer participants, coaches, and parents will be gathering in our Fox Zone Teen Center 11 a.m. Saturday to celebrate the conclusion of a successful season. Parents, be sure to fill out an evaluation form so we can continue to improve our program to better meet your families’ needs.

Turkey Trot
The Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K is right around the corner. Sign up early or on race day. It’s $20 for a Y member and $30 for others. Bring the whole family. It’s a great way to kick off a day of feasting, and you can offset some of that obscene amount of calories you’ll be consuming later!

Lifeguard Certification
Hartsville YMCA will be offering evening classes 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 30 through Dec. 4. Check with the front desk to get the pre-requisites. The course is $125 for a member and $155 for others. You must be 15 years old to be certified.

Pictures with Santa
Santa will be out in front of the YMCA 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 to hear your Christmas wish lists. Feel free to bring your camera for some candid shots of your child – or you – with Santa. This event is free and open to the community.

Nutcracker Trip
Join the YMCA Active Older Adults on Dec. 13 for a trip to Charlotte to see a professional quality presentation of the Nutcracker. The bus will leave the Y by 9 a.m. and return at 6 p.m. that evening. Cost of the trip is $35 for members and $60 for others and includes the ticket and transportation. Lunch is on your own.

AOA Lunch with Santa
Our Active Older Adult monthly luncheon will be held 11:30 a.m. Dec. 14 with Santa present for all those last-minute Christmas wishes. Bring some food to share covered-dish style. For questions, contact member services director Lenora Lefew.

Breakfast with Santa
Bring the kids to the Second Annual Breakfast with Santa in the gym Dec. 19. There will be craft activities, food and drink and an opportunity to visit with Santa in a relaxed atmosphere.

Holiday Schedule
The YMCA will have just the gym and fitness center open 7 to 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. On Nov. 27, the Y is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Christmas Eve, hours are 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Y is closed Christmas Day. New Year’s Eve hours are 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Y is closed New Year’s Day.
