A Pageland man has been charged in connection with the burglary of several storage units last month in Marion.

Darrell Bittell is charged with eight counts of third-degree burglary and is being held in a North Carolina jail in on unrelated charges, Marion County Sheriff’s Capt. Judith Barker said.

The crime happened sometime between Oct. 18 and 22 at White’s Mini Storage on Senator Gasque Road, according to a previous sheriff’s office press release.

A dark-colored older model truck with a red paper license tag was seen on surveillance footage entering and leaving the property, possibly with some of the stolen items. It’s not clear if any of those items have been recovered.
