I just read your editorial “Pee Dee stands as best, worst of U.S. health care” and wanted to let you know that in addition to Mercy Medicine and Hope Health there is also the option of Black River HealthCare in Timmonsville. Black River has seven sites and care for the unemployed and uninsured as well as insured patients. Those uninsured are seen on a “sliding scale fee,” and we assist with programs for obtaining medications for those in need.
