Three people, including two small children, are dead after a traffic accident in Horry County late Wednesday night.

Horry County Deputy Coroner, Tamara Willard, identified the victims as Mark Sermon, Jr., 26 and his two children-Dajah and Mark Sermon, III. Willard said Dajah was 9 years old and Mark was 6.

All three victims were from Myrtle Beach and died from injuries sustained in the wreck.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a car and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Palmetto Pointe Boulevard and U.S. Highway 17 Bypass near Socastee around 10 p.m.

Troopers said the all three victims were passengers in the vehicle.

The driver of the car, Itersha McCants, was released from the hospital Friday.

Authorities say the driver of the truck did not suffer any injuries.

The Highway Patrol's Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team is working to re-construct what happened.
