Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce meets to announce non-flight stops during Can-Am Days

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announced plans for non-stop flights from Myrtle Beach to Toronto.

The flights will be offered twice-a-week beginning Feb. 28, 2010 and ending May 30, 2010. The flights begin a few weeks before the annual Canadian-American Days Festival, when thousands of Canadians travel to Myrtle Beach.

Can-Am Days take place each March.

The Chamber said the timing of the flight schedule is crucial because more than 40% of Canadian travelers visit in the first quarter of the year.

Porter Airlines from Toronto City Centre (Island) Airport will serve the flights to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR).

One-way fare for the flights starts at $179, plus taxes. Flights can be booked through www.FlyPorter.com.
