Community, family members, students and teachers participated in “Rock and Read” at Marion Intermediate School on Oct. 28.
The event is designed to encourage student literacy, utilizes community members and parents as role models to demonstrate the enjoyment of reading.
Classes decorated rocking chairs placed in the atrium of the school for participants to enjoy during the activity.
