K-Mart purse-snatching suspect caught in Georgia

The suspect wanted for stealing a woman's purse and then hitting three people with her car in a K-Mart parking lot has been arrested in Georgia.

Myrtle Beach police asked for public’s help to find a suspect who they say snatched a 75-year-old woman's purse Monday morning, and then struck the victim and two other people as she left the scene.

Police say the incident happened about 9:30 a.m. at the K-Mart on N. Kings Highway. They say at least one of the victims was seriously injured.

The suspect's identity has not been released at this time. Knipes said in a press release that she was located and in Burke County, Ga. Wednesday.

The victim's car is being used as part of the criminal investigation.
