A body was found Monday morning near a beach access near Garden City.

Lt. Neil Johnson with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office told News13 it does not appear foul play was involved in the man's death.

An autopsy was done on the body Monday afternoon at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Johnson said those results show the cause of death appears to be natural.

The body was found near S. Waccamaw Drive and Yucca Ave. Authorities investigated a blue minivan with California license plates at the scene of the incident. The front passenger side window of the van was bashed in. It is not clear when the window was damaged.

The man's identity will not be released until his family has been notified.
