North Myrtle Beach mobile home burns, man dies

North Myrtle Fire officials are trying figure out what caused a mobile fire that killed a man Wednesday morning.

According to North Myrtle Beach PIO, Nicole Aiello, the fire call came in around 8:05 a.m. for a reported structure fire at the Waterway View Mobile Home Community located on 8th Avenue North.

Aiello said a neighbor told firefighters they thought someone was inside.

Once inside, firefighters did find a male victim dead inside the home.

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge identified the victim as 65 year old Tommy Hudson.

Edge said Hudson died from smoke inhalation.
