The Horry County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of a Socastee business employee while at work.
According to a press release, the incident happened Oct. 30 around 9:30 a.m. at Acceptance Insurance, 4503 Socastee Blvd.
Police said an unknown black male suspect entered the business and brandished a handgun demanding money.
There was not any money on scene, which the employee of the business told him.
The suspect demanded the employee’s wallet at that time.
The suspect took approximately $120 before fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5ft. 5in. and weighing approximately 135 pounds.
At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a long white shirt, blue jeans and a light blue hat.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to contact the Horry County Police Department at 915-5350.
