Hartsville man arrested in sexual assault case

A Hartsville man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a weekend sexual assault, Darlington County Sheriff’s Capt. Andy Locklair said.

Shane Rashaad Brown, 17, of 931 Lynnhaven Drive is charged with criminal sexual conduct, Darlington County Detention Center booking reports show.

Locklair said the incident happened Saturday in Hartsville and involved a 13-year-old girl.

Brown remains in custody at the jail in Darlington awaiting a bond hearing.
