New restaurant looking to make it near Freestyle Music Park

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Paolo Adimari says he was opening his new restaurant, The Italian Village, regardless of how Freestyle Music Park fared.

But even if it is a success, you won't find Adimari complaining.

"It's going to be definite good news for us," said Adimari, who operated Italian restaurants in New Jersey for years before coming to Horry County.

Several other businesses have opened--and closed--since Hard Rock Park debuted on the site in 2008, only to fold in bankruptcy less than six months later.

"The (new) park should not be open just because," said Adimari. "It's a beautiful thing and it should be open because it's there and should be used for whatever it was made for."
