Four people — including a woman and her teenage son — were arrested in connection with the death of a 17-year-old boy who was gunned down in his home in April, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Twanda Mack Allen, 36; her son, Ronald Hakeem Mack, 17; Kelvin Michael Bowen Jr., 31; and Antonio Lavelle McClary, 19, of 55 Dove St. in Kingstree were arrested in connection with the death of Kenyon Dorsey, according to the release.
Allen and Mack once lived near Kingstree and were familiar with the victim, according to the release.
Mack and Bowen were arrested outside an apartment at 412 Pamela Road in Glen Burnie, Md., where they lived along with Allen. Mack, Bowen and Allen remain in custody in Maryland awaiting extradition.
McClary is incarcerated at the Williamsburg County Detention Center in Kingstree awaiting a bond hearing before a circuit court judge.
Dorsey was found by his mother, Annette Bradshaw, at 2:25 a.m. at their home in Kingstree, Williamsburg County Coroner Harrison McKnight said in an earlier report.
Bradshaw was asleep in her room when she heard something that sounded like firecrackers. She called out for her son, then got up from bed to investigate the noise and found Dorsey shot several times in the head at their kitchen table.
Deputies determined there were four suspects in the crime, three of whom entered the home brandishing firearms.
Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the crime, according to the release.
