A lot of bikers may have chosen not to ride around the City of Myrtle Beach but they definitely made their way to Jamin’ Leather in Surfside Beach.
Store employees auctioned off several items since Thursday to raise money for the victim of the recent wildfires and donate to the local chapter of the American Red Cross.
Store owner Jamie Keats conducted the auction while handing out several raffle tickets.
Some of the items auctioned off were leather jackets for men and women, shirts and shorts.
Members of the American Red Cross tell News 13 that they hope to raise $7000.00.
"I was surprised just to see how many people we did have and on Thursday we brought in $1400 which was more than I really expected because of the way the economy is and what's happening on the beach right now but I am very proud of the bikers for coming out and helping us support us," said Pat Ruescher with the American Red Cross.
Jamin’ Leather plans to markdown several items on Sunday to donate 30% percent of its sales proceeds to the local chapter of the American Red Cross.
