Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sawyer of Marion announce the engagement of their daughter, Ambra Dee Sawyer, to Steven Kelly McGuinn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Wade McGuinn of Lexington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marcella Moore and the late Cora Mae Sawyer, of Marion. She is a 2002 graduate of Marion High School and a 2007 graduate of Lander University, with a Bachelors of Arts. She is employed by Harvest Hope Food Bank of South Carolina.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Ann McGuinn and Mary Jean Stack of Columbia. He is a 2003 graduate of Lexington High School, a 2007 graduate of Lander University and a 2009 graduate of Clemson University, with a Masters of Real Estate Development. He is employed by McGuinn Homes of Lexington.
The wedding is planned for 5 p.m. May 23, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Marion. The couple will honeymoon at the Paradisus in Playa Conchal, Costa Rica. The couple will live in Lexington.
