Charges dropped in prostitution case against Horry County councilman

Myrtle Beach City attorney has dropped charges in the prostitution case against Horry County Councilman, Marion Foxworth.

In October of 2007, Myrtle Beach Police charged Foxworth with soliciting prostitution.

Foxworth proclaimed his innocence.

There have been a number of continuances in this case.

Today, the city of myrtle beach attorney said, in consideration of the circumstances and facts in the case, he's concluded that it's in the interest of justice to dismiss all charges against Foxworth and not go forward with a trial.

No further public statement will be made according to the press release.
